Onkyo HT-S3100 ’s High Current Power Supply (H.C.P.S.) concept ensures that you will always have the power to respond to the wide dynamics of surround sound. To complement this power capacity, it is essential to limit the effects of signal noise. When the sound is attenuated in a conventional amplifier, the audio signal drops close to the noise floor at low volumes, thereby tainting the signal. The noise that results is magnified when the signal is amplified. Onkyo’s Optimum Gain Volume Circuitry adjusts the gain so that less than half the standard amount of attenuation is necessary.The signal never comes close to the noise floor, thereby eliminating the possibility of the noise found in conventional volume-attenuation designs.
Onkyo HT-S3100 Compatible with the iPod Family Through the Onkyo RI Docks
The ubiquitous iPod has revolutionized how we listen to and store our music. With Onkyo HT-S3100 ’s RI Docks (sold separately), you can integrate almost any iPod model with your home theater system. Using the dock also gives you additional functionality when connected through Onkyo’s Remote Interactive (RI) system.
Onkyo HT-S3100 With three component video inputs, you can have up to three of today’s latest A/V components think Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD players, hard disc recorders, DVD players, cable/satellite boxes, and gaming consoles such as the Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Wii–connected simultaneously for output to the latest flat-panel and rear-projection displays. With a frequency range out to 50 MHz, you have more than enough bandwidth to pass a 720p or 1080i signal (which require at least 37 MHz of bandwidth) to a high-definition display.
