The HP iPAQ rx5915 Travel Companion is designed to be used primarily in landscape orientation (though it does support portrait too, and its display can be rotated in any of four directions). It’s larger than most Pocket PC and Pocket PC Phone Edition models on the market, though it’s not huge either. The somewhat larger casing holds a 3.5″ color display (just like the old days, when Pocket PCs had those large displays). The result is your GPS receiver becomes much more sensitive and can get a good signal even under dense foliage, downtown high-rise buildings and indoors in many cases which was not achievable with past generations of GPS receivers. Another benefit of having a higher performance chipset is that your GPS will have a faster time to fix, especially time to first fix (TTFF) speed.
